On May 7th, the Senior class headed off on a ten day service trip to Puerto Rico. The organization we worked with for the service portion of our trip, Colectivo Verdolaga, specializes in sustainable architecture using recycled materials. More specifically the structures that the senior class worked on, are going to serve many purposes such as hurricane shelters and education and community centers. Getting to work alongside the incredible people heading this building project was a definite highlight. Other great moments of the trip included dancing at a salsa club, visiting waterfalls in the mountains, exploring the gorgeous surrounding beaches (and enjoying the warm water) and trying a hand at our Spanish!
