GivingThe Importance of Philanthropy Philanthropy is a vital component to the success of The Hartsbrook School. As a non-profit organization, we fully fund all of our programs and facilities. Generous support from our donors enables us to continue our mission of nurturing the unique spirit of each child by offering rich programs from early childhood through high school. We prepare students to meet the challenges of the future and to find purpose and direction in their lives. We cannot do it without you! All gifts – financial support, time, resources or skill sharing – are always held in the highest honor by our community. If you would like information on various Ways of Giving, please click here. Resilience to Renewal Campaign: The Annual Giving Campaign for Hartsbrook Challenges: The Pandemic Impact: These past few years have had so many challenges with the COVID-19 pandemic and economic aftershocks accompanied by a breathtaking shift from distance learning with Hartsbrook at Home to in person learning, mostly outdoors, in last fall’s Return to School. Members of the Hartsbrook community were all heroic examples of what a community can do when it works together. Opportunities: Resilience: Our amazing faculty continue to refine their pedagogy to suit the needs of students who face the challenges of the 21st Century and also the aftermath of the pandemic, with lingering fears of infection but with a deep desire for in-person learning. Investment for Renewal: We are investing in our talented faculty with salary increases, retirement contributions as well as teacher development and enhanced training opportunities. These initiatives, in addition to mentoring new faculty and increasing our students’ support staff, will bring new, stronger, Waldorf-based educational opportunities to meet the needs of individual students. We also continue to work on the maintenance of school buildings, including new roofing and ventilation for indoor spaces to provide safety for all. We monitor the current pathway of the pandemic, being ready to adjust plans should Massachusetts guidelines dictate changes. How Can We Help? Our Annual Giving Campaign raises funds to help meet the school operating budget needs. These contributions, combined with tuition revenue, support the school’s vibrant programs, facilities, and ability to offer sliding scale tuition. Some donors also choose to make significant designated gifts to support such areas as financial aid or special projects. Your commitment to support Hartsbrook’s Resilience to Renewal Campaign with a pledge or gift is important to the growth and strength of our school and our Hartsbrook community.
