The First of May began with the Hartsbrook  community gathering to sing together before heading off  to play and work on our beautiful land. Older students joined together throughout the campus – gardens were tended, new plants planted and seeds sown in the fields.  Early Childhood students processed throughout the school bringing fresh flowers to teachers and staff.  Coming back together we met in our central gardens to share songs and Maypole dances including intricate ribbon weaving and bold sword dances.  Gardens, community music and dance – what a wonderful way to welcome the spring!
