Thanks to the Hartsbrook community for supporting our recent sixth grade food drive to benefit the Food Bank of Western Massachusetts. We were able to take over 250 pounds of food to the Food Bank at the end of January. We also donated $200.00 that we had earned through the sale of note cards featuring our geometric drawings. While at the Food Bank in Hatfield, we learned about how the Food Bank works, and we decorated bags that will be used to deliver food to homebound seniors in the area. Last week, we received a letter from the Food Bank telling us that our donations will provide 836 meals for people in Western Massachusetts this winter. We were happy to see that our efforts, plus the generosity of the community, will make a big difference in people’s lives. Thank you for being so generous and supporting the food drive. We plan to hold another food drive next year.
