Game: Where the West Wind Blows (12:30) Grades

A short simple large-group circle game played by grades 2-12 to start off the year. The leader asks students to run across the circle to a new place “if the west wind blows for them.” For example, if the leader says, “The west wind blows for everyone who splashed in water this summer,” everyone for whom this is true runs across the circle to a new place. 2nd-12th grade parents are invited to watch.  The game is a quick fun way for the students and faculty to experience grades 2 – 12 altogether as we start the year.
