Afternoons at the Farmstead
Children in our Afternoons at the Farmstead program enjoy
working hands-on with the animals and participating in a variety
of activities as they work with our goats, sheep, rabbits, cow,
donkey and chickens. Seasonal activities focus on working with
the livestock as the children learn how to milk, feed, groom
and care for the animals.
Agricultural craft activities such as butter and cheese-making,
bread-baking, felting and weaving, and basket-making are
woven into each session according to the season.
