Extended Day Program

The Hartsbrook School’s Extended Day Program is available until 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and provides families with a wholesome after-school childcare alternative. Students can be enrolled in the program by contracting through the business office or on an “as needed” basis by checking with the Main Office at least 24 hours ahead of time. Enrollment is welcome at any time during the year.

Children enjoy drawing, board, table and card games,  and seasonal outdoor activities such as kickball, stick ball, tag and sledding. There is also time for homework and instrument practice.

Healthy Snacks are provided in the Extended Day Program.
These include: Bread and butter, hummus and carrots, cheese and crackers, apples, oranges, bananas, raisins and other fruit.

On Fridays, parents/guardian of children dismissed at 12:45pm to Extended Day will need to provide a healthy lunch.

Children may enroll annually by contract for one to five days per week, or children may “drop-in’
if space is available, according to the following schedule:
Monday through Friday: 3:15 to 4:30 OR 3:15 to 5:30pm.
Friday: Early Childhood: 12:15pm to 3:15, 4:30 OR 5:30pm   Grades 1-8: 12:45pm to 3:15pm, 4:30 OR 5:30pm.

Parents may pick up their children at any time
before 5:30 pm. Out of respect for the teacher
and the children, we ask that you arrive no later
