MEMORIAL FUNDS

The Hartsbrook School’s Bergen Diaz Endowed Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in 1996, in loving memory of Bergen Diaz, ‘94.

These funds are endowed and use of them restricted to providing emergency tuition support for families who are unexpectedly unable to continue to pay their tuition commitment. The interest yielded annually from the Bergen Diaz Endowed Memorial Scholarship Fund helps The Hartsbrook School best support students experiencing financial instability while strengthening the school’s future financial sustainability and resiliency.

The Hartsbrook School offers Farm Camp in one week sessions throughout the months of July and August. The Farm Camp program offers an immersive farm experience for children ages 4 through 15. Days include purposeful work on the land and with the animals, song and games, and quiet restful times.

The Dwyer Family Memorial Scholarship was founded in 2019 with the support of the Dwyer family as a living memorial for their beloved son and our former camper. The intent of this scholarship is to make Farm Camp possible for all children who wish to attend regardless of financial capacity.

SPECIAL INTEREST SCHOLARSHIP FUNDS

One of the unique and wonderful things about the student experience at The Hartsbrook School is how highly valued music is in the educational process. All students in our school sing, study music literacy, and play an instrument. Starting in grade four when students graduate into the strings program, students begin choosing and renting their own instruments. While this is an exciting transition, it can be financially challenging.

To help support our families, the school has an Instrument Rental Scholarship Fund, which donors can contribute to at anytime throughout the year. All monies in this fund go towards helping families in need offset instrument rental costs. We are deeply grateful to our generous donors from years past. What a joy it is to give the gift of music!
